And just to prove it, here it is in all it’s glory…

So you might be wondering what this is all about? Well…
The Back Story
A few months ago (back in July actually), I wrote an open proposal to McLaren. With the advent of Twitter, Formula 1 coverage has got a lot more interesting…
Running Twitter while watching [...]

Today say the FIA hearing into the so-called “crash-gate” scandal in Formula 1.
For those of you living under a rock Renault recently sacked one of their drivers, Nelson Piquet Jr. He then came public with a suggestion that he had been ordered to crash at last year’s Singapore GP. It’s the most dangerous sin in [...]

It was a great grand prix today – really exciting, and it was really great to see McLaren back to winning ways with Lewis!
For the first time I sat with the laptop while I watched the race, running TweetDeck to keep up-to-date with all the F1 fans and some of the teams who are constantly [...]

And He’s Off!

In: Formula One

24 Jun 2009

I previously noted on this blog that Formula 1 was in disarray, with the FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) member teams annoucing at the British GP that they were planning a break-away series.
You can read that post here, but basically the FIA (well, Max Mosley to be precise) had decided that all F1 teams should [...]

You may have noticed – it’s all over the news – that the 8 Formula One teams involved in FOTA (the Formula One Teams Association) have today officially announced their plans to break away from the FIA and Formula One and set up their own championship.
This, to me at least, is welcome news. The FIA [...]

LOL – that made you look didn’t it!?
I’m really sorry… my cousin sent me this and I just HAD to post it… as an F1 fan I was in stitches!! I don’t know where the joke came from originally (don’t think it was you J?), but whoever thought that up….. genius!
Times like this I wish [...]

2 important announcements in the McLaren world today…
Firstly, the FIA have “summoned” the team to a World Motorsport Coucil hearing on 29th April regarding the whole “misleading the stewards” thing in Australia (see here if you missed it). They have been asked to explained themselves, etc.
Secondly, it was announced that Dave Ryan has parted company [...]

Yep, he’s done it again! After a bad start, Jenson managed to come back through for a second win in a crazy race at rain soaked Sepang!
The race was great – crazy as hell… and that was before the torrential downpour which caused the race to be stopped after lap 32 and never restarted. Button clinched his [...]

When I read the FIA ruling yesterday disqaulifying McLaren and Lewis from the Australian Grand Prix, I have to admit to being somewhat incensed! I couldn’t believe it – here we are again, a new season, and already they’re trying to screw McLaren.
I wanted to write a post then, but I was too angry. I [...]

Jenson Button won the Australian Grand Prix for Brawn GP this morning in a race that saw more overtaking and action than we’ve seen in quite a while. His team-mate Rubens Barichello completed a 1-2 finish after clawing his way back from a poor start, with the help of 3rd and 4th placed Sabastian Vettel [...]
