Thanks For The Frog!

In: Life

26 Oct 2009

Yes, that’s right. A Frog. Like this one…

Except this one is in it’s natural habitat… some watery marshy place where it feels at home. Not, as the one that me and Rachel found at 3am this morning, hopping round the living room!
Jewel (one of Rae’s cats) decided it would be fun to catch and bring [...]

I downloaded Google Chrome earlier. Haven’t used it in a while, so thought I’d give it a go on the new laptop.
It’s well speedy, and works really well.
One odd thing though: whenever I type Google into Facebook or here on the blog (or anywhere for that matter), it underlines it and tries to tell me [...]

I have to admit I was quite looking forward to Nick Griffin appearing on Question Time yesterday.
I’ll say upfront that I’m NOT a BNP supporter (anyone that knows me will tell you that), but I do believe in Free Speech and have to hand it to the BBC for upholding that part of our country’s [...]

Running Twitter while watching [...]

14 Oct 2009

So, the laptop finally arrived today. It was earlier than originally suggested, but a day later than it could have been – we had to take Rachel back to Bedford yesterday, and despite the “PLEASE LEAVE PARCELS NEXT DOOR” notice – they left a note.
But they tried again today and luckily my Dad was in [...]

Ok, very early Christmas present. It’s still October after all. But I have to say.. I’ve bought myself a new laptop. Here it is…

OK, so that’s a picture from the Dell website – mine’s not arrived yet (apprently it’s “being built” right now!). Nice isn’t it?
For the geeky amongst you, here are the vitals…

I was recently offered Forum Works, a website that I have written 1 or 2 acrticles for over the last couple of months.
The previous owner, Simon, wanted to off-load the site to concentrate on his newest projects, and at the price we agreed – it was an offer too good to miss.
Forum Works is basically [...]
